Bonifatius. Comes Africae. Nummus. 425-430 AD. Carthage. (Ric-X 3814). (Tesorillo-Bonifacio 1, Plate Coin). Anv.: DOMINIS NOS TRIS, pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right. Rev.: Wreath, cross on globe within. Ae. 0,75 g. Alain Gennari features this same example on the cover of an article: Le serie “domino nostro” e “inbictissimo”: un aggiornamento, in Monete Antiche anno XX n. 116, marzo/aprile 2021.
Without a doubt, this is the best example we have seen of this extremely rare issue, with very few documented examples.

Rev.: COS within laurel wreath, MVN. AVGVSTA. BILBILIS. TI. CAESARE. V. L. AELIO. SEIANO around. Ae. 9,55 g. Countermark eliminating part of the legend on the reverse “L. AELIO. SEIANO”, the only case in Hispania in which the “DAMNATIO MEMORIAE” was applied. Very rare. Ex Cayón 53 (27/11/2018), lot 88. Included original label. Choice F/Almost VF.

Pearl-diademed, helmeted and cuirassed bust facing slightly to right, holding spear in his right hand and with shield, decorated with horseman attacking fallen foe, over left shoulder. Rev.: NOVA SPES REI PVBLICAE. Victory seated right on cuirass, inscribing shield set on her left knee with XX/XXX, behind cuirass, shield; CONOB in exergue. Au. 4,47 g. Traces of luster.
