Rev.: VICTOR A AAVG(GG). Roma seated left on cuirass, holding Victoria on globe in right hand and inverted spear in left. In exergue SMB(A). Ag. 1,13 g. Of the highest rarity. Maximus of Spain revolted against Constantinus III in c. AD 420, just as his master general Gerontius did in AD 409. He tried to seize power in Spain but was captured and executed in public during the games celebrating Honorius’ tricennalia in AD 422. Almost VF/VF.
